UPDATED TO June 2016

Excitement is in the air as I have moved my Bears Shrine Man Cave up to a vacated empty bedroom. I now have much more space.

I love this picture.  It was halftime of Super Bowl 46 and Brittney and Jarret Payton are about to present the Walter Payton Man Of The Year award.

This is also from Super Bowl 46 when Richard Dent was selected to the 2011 NFL Hall of Fame.

My name is Bill Schaefer and I'm the graphic engineer at the Gridiron Uniform Database
http://www.gridiron-uniforms.com/bears.html
- and I'm a Bears fan, too!
I am trying to locate closeup photos that are lined-up and of display quality of the 2 GHS patches worn in 1983. As of now, all we have are my 'artist's renderings' of the patches. Every photo we've found has a patch too small, too crooked, folded, or partially obscured. Anything you can do to help would be appreciated.

Great site!! I was wondering if you ever confirmed the release year of those white Walter Payton ROOS? I have a pair just like them and wondering if they are from the 80s-90s

If I had to guess, I'd say early 80s or maybe even late 70s. Best bet is to search Getty Images by year starting in about 1977 and work your way forward Searching 'Walter Payton Bears.'
On our site we maintain a 'Rule of Three.' If 3 or more players wear something in a game, we include it as a separate uniform combo. The exception being 'Pinktober.' Also, we don't display brands of shoewear since the sides of cleats are not visible.

Thanks Bill - You don't think these are in anyway the replicas from 2004? They look very simular

Sorry. Can't comment for sure.
Not my area of expertise.
Good luck!

Your collection is extremely impressive. I am trying to find Steve Mcmichael and Jumbo Covert SLU's in package. Would you have any leads?

I have a question about a belt buckle that you have. It's oval shaped, etched silver with the helmet (old school face mask) and Chicago Bears in orange around it. There are no markings on the back of it either. It's pretty slick looking and was just wondering the story behind it.
