More Super Bowl XX Stuff - Da Bears!

One can never have enough 1986-86 collectibles from the historic Super Bowl XX Bears.  I have found some interesting things in the past 2 1/2 years (that's about how long it has been since I formally updated this blog.

The first item is a 12 inch promo record by Mercury, which was sent the United Kingdom to be placed on air by DJs.

And how many people can say they own a 1986 Acco 40 Stapler adorned with the Bears name.

I have put together a few collages of miscellaneous items.  Every item has it's own story, but pictures do have a way of making it self explanatory.

The Fridge's G.I. Joe.  I have one in package and one figure out of package.

Good 'ole Jimmy Mac...his famous headband, blue blockers and an autographed Rolling Stone cover.

Here is a certain GEM of my collection.  I bought these from an actual college level football Coach, whose name shall go unmentioned.  They are COPIES of the 1985 Bears' Offensive and Defensive Playbooks.  Seriously.  They are.  They show the infamous 46 Defense and some scribbled notes by Buddy Ryan in the margins:

Here is a recently acquired pin, about the size of a quarter.  I have never seen one like it in my years of collecting.

Update 2014:  Picked another knife, made by Frost Cutlery.

Here are 2 new brass key chains commemorating Super Bowl XX...

I picked up a couple of new Mike Singletary items, a 1990 Fleer card autographed and
an autographed cap.

More watches...

Placemats from the Mayor's Breakfast for Hall Of Fame Enshrinees

and a newspaper and brochure for Richard Dent's HOF day

I recently came across a coin that had the following description followed by a prospective purchaser questions and seller's response:

You are Bidding on a 24k gold medal of super bowl 20. one side shows the two teams playing and the other shows a hi light from the game. medal is 3inches and weighs 2.0 oz. will ship free to us addresses

Q:

Hello...back in the 80's a company called "The Excelsior Collection Inc released these medals thru mail order. They were available in three varieties, bronze,.999 pure silver and 24k gold plated bronze, of which this one is. The medal is 2 inches in diameter.....thanks
Oh, by the way, I bought it for $21.00 because it is a unique piece.  This is what my research tells me.  These were made for all of the Super Bowls as far as I know, and proceeds were provided to The Children's Miracle Network.
